Spearing is headed for Championship side Blackburn after the club agreed to a 1.7 million transfer with Liverpool, the Daily Mail reports.

The move is contingent on Blackburn being able to sell a current player, which isn't always easy. Spearing was with Bolton last season on loan and was voted the club's player of the year. While they have definite interest in bringing him back, it doesn't appear that they can afford him for this season. Spearing only has one more year left on his contract with Liverpool and wanted to play in the Premier League but seems content with the Blackburn move right now.

Spearing will be out of tomorrow's clash with Stoke City after picking up a hamstring injury during Liverpool's FA Cup tie with Manchester City, reports Sky Sports.

Charlie Adam will start in midfield for Spearing until his hamstring allows him back on the pitch.

Spearing will be out for Liverpool's match up against Aston Villa on Sunday as he will still be serving his second game of a three game suspension.

Tough for Liverpool's midfield that can't stay healthy. Jordan Henderson will likely be Charlie Adam's midfield partner while Spearing is out.

Spearing, who was filling in for the injured Lucas Leiva, was given a straight red card for his tackle in Liverpool's 1-0 loss to Fulham.

Another blow for Liverpool's midfield that is lacking bodies. Spearing will be out the minimum three games for the straight red, although it could be appealed as it seemed a harsh decision.
