Maiga had been given permission to leave West Ham but has rejected a loan move to Queens Park Rangers, the Daily Mail reports.

Maiga has not performed well this season with only two goals in 19 matches. With Andy Carroll back fit, and Carlton Cole still with the Hammers, there isn't much room for Maiga going forward.

Queens Park Rangers may consider a loan move for Maiga, reports the Daily Mail.

Maiga has scored two goals in 19 games for West Ham, and could be free to leave for a new club. He trained with QPR earlier in the week, and manager Harry Redknapp may make him a transfer target.

Maiga came on for Carlton Cole after halftime, scored in the 65th minute and then assisted on Kevin Nolan's goal in the 67th minute of Saturday's 3-3 draw with West Brom.

Quite a performance for Maiga, who now has two goals and two assists in his last three matches in all competitions (one goal, two assists in Premier League play).

Maiga came on in the 87th minute and got to work quickly, snatching a late goal in the first minute of stoppage time to finish off Chelsea 3-1.

It's the second goal of the year for the mid-summer signing who's continuing to prove his worth as a substitute. He's got four years on his deal with West Ham, so he's a decent investment worth giving minutes to and should continue to see the pitch if he keeps scoring quick goals.

The forward came on as a sub in the 82nd minute, and made his manager look good just five minutes later with his first Premier league goal.

Maiga has performed well in other competitions, but is still far from starting for West Ham in league play. But as a sub, he's certainly proving his worth to the Hammers, less so to anybody's fantasy squad. Should there be any injury trouble however, he'd prove to be a dirt-cheap grab on a club that scores with good regularity.
