Assaidi (knee) has been a full participant during training this week, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Assaidi missed pre-season action due to a knee problem that lingered from last season, so Stoke is rightfully being careful and gradually building the Moroccan's fitness at the moment. That being said, Assaidi is still expected to be named to Stoke's reserves for this Saturday's match versus Leicester City. Currently on his second-loan spell with the Potters from Liverpool, Assaidi will look to improve on the four goals in 19 appearances he totaled for Mark Hughes' side last term.

Assaidi has moved back to Stoke City on another season-long loan from Liverpool

Assaidi wasn't going to get any playing time at Anfield this season, so his move to Stoke will surely increase his fantasy value. He scored four goals in 19 appearances last season and he should get plenty of playing time this season to try to beat that mark.

Assaidi tallied his fourth goal of the season during Saturday's win over Fulham.

Assaidi led Stoke City with three shots on target, while his eight successful dribbles also put constant pressure on Fulham's defense. Before Saturday, the winger had not scored since New Year's Day.

Assaidi returned from a knee injury to play the final 12 minutes of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City.

Assaidi had returned to training but it looked like he was going to be another week away from returning. Despite being able to come off the bench, he remains a very weak fantasy option, with his last league goal coming back on New Year's Day.

Assaidi, who was expected to return this weekend from a knee injury, is likely another week away, according to the club's official web site. "He will join in with the rest of the lads in training today which is a good step for him, but I do think the game will probably come a bit too soon for him to return," manager Mark Hughes said Thursday. "We will see how he comes through the session today, but with a bit of luck, and with hopefully a full week of training behind him, we can look to include him in some capacity against Tottenham next weekend."

Assaidi has managed to play in only 16 games this year, scoring three goals. However, he has not played since February 12 against Swansea, so it's unrealistic to think he'll have a major impact when he does return.

Assaidi completed his move to Stoke, on a season-long loan from Liverpool, on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reports.

Assaidi joined Liverpool from Heerenveen in the Netherlands but featured only four times in Premier League play, all off the bench. With Erik Pieters and Marc Muniesa brought in this summer, Assaidi was extra weight at Liverpool. He is expected to make his Stoke debut Wednesday against Walsall in the Capital One Cup second-round.
