Granero has joined Real Sociedad for an undisclosed fee, QPR's official website reports.

The Spanish midfielder was loaned to La Real last season but barely featured due to a torn ACL in his right knee. Granero scored just one goal in 28 total appearances during his spell at QPR, but will try to revive his career back in Spain.

Granero (knee), who was substituted on in Real Sociedad's 2-0 defeat against Shakhtar, has appeared to have suffered ACL damage in the closing stages of the match. According to Football Espana.

Granero has appeared in three La Liga games so far for the Spanish club and started in two, including last Saturday's clash against Levante. The injury - now fully confirmed to be ACL damage - will keep him out of the team for an expected six months, with 20-year old Ruben Pardo likely to replace him in the centre of Sociedad's midfield.

Granero will go on a season-long loan to Real Sociedad from QPR, Goal.com reports.

Real Sociedad will also have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, so it's entirely likely that Granero time in England is done. He's been linked with a few different clubs ever since QPR was relegated from the Premier League, but he chose to return to La Liga.

Granero is close to a move to Real Sociedad from Queens Park Rangers, according to Football Espana.

He is expected to take a pay cut for the move, as his current 2.7 million per season contract is too much for the Spanish club to take on. Real Sociedad is actually interested in a season-long loan with an option to buy but QPR manager Harry Redknapp prefers a straight sale.
