Colback (knee) is feeling as good as he could be at this point and is hoping to be back in action by mid December, the Chronicle Live reports.

Colback was relieved that his injury was not as bad as previously feared and he could be back in action in December. The 26-year-old has made nine starts this season so far, and looking ahead he should return to the lineup as soon as he's deemed fit to play.

Colback suffered leg injury during Sunday's Wear-Tyne derby and was seen leaving the Stadium of Light using crutches, the Newcastle Chronicle reports.

Colback also picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, which means he is suspended for next weekend's match against Stoke. He will likely undergo scans on his leg to determine the full severity and how much time he will miss, leaving Vurnon Anita, Florian Thauvin and Siem De Jong to battle for increased playing time.

Colback (hamstring) is starting Sunday against Norwich City.

Colback missed Newcastle's last match before the international break because of the injury, but he was able to recover over the last two weeks and will slot back into his defensive midfield spot, a position that doesn't lend itself to significant fantasy value in most formats.

Colback (hamstring) is expected to play Sunday against Norwich City, the Shields Gazette reports.

Colback was unable to play in Newcastle's last match before the international break due to the ailment, but he was able to use the time off to recover and will get back on the pitch. He's a very important player for the Magpies, though his fantasy value doesn't translate in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Colback (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Manchester City on Saturday.

Colback doesn't score a ton of goal or get involved in the attack much, but he can contribute in leagues that give points for deeper peripheral stats. That being said, he'll have to wait until after the international break to return from his hamstring issue.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Colback (hamstring) is doubtful to play Saturday against Man City. "He is still struggling with a little hamstring strain and we are just deciding whether to risk that," manager Steve McClaren said on Friday.

Colback does a lot of little things, but is hardly a stat stuffer. With that being said, he's integral to the Magpies' success. If he can't play, it would be a crushing blow against a Man City team at the top of the table. Proceed with caution with Colback, though he'll likely do everything he can to get on the pitch.

Colback was a doubt for the match due to the ailment, but he'll be a go Saturday. That being said, he's a fairly limited fantasy option despite his fantastic work rate.
