Janmaat scored on two shots (one on target) and assisted on three crosses in Sunday's 5-1 season finale win over Tottenham.

Vurnon Anita's absence of the squad brought Janmaat back to the starting XI and he played with a vengeance. That was his first game since Apr 9 after reigning the right back position all season long before that. The full back ends the season with two goals, four assists, four clean sheets and five yellow cards in 32 Premier League games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Janmaat (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Crystal Palace, though he could return next week.

With Vurnon Anita playing well in Janmaat's absence, there is little reason to rush the latter back before he's fully fit, especially with the Netherlands not playing in the European Championships this summer.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Janmaat (groin) has been ruled out for Tuesday's match against Newcastle.

Janmaat's absence will force manager Rafa Benitez to likely go with Vurnun Anita at rightback again.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Janmaat will not play Saturday against Swansea City because of groin and hand injuries suffered last weekend against Southampton.

Janmaat has been one of the few fantasy bright spots for Newcastle this season, and he'll leave a big hole on the right side of the defense with his absence. Vernun Anita could get the start Saturday in Janmaat's absence.

Janmaat (knee) was forced out of Newcastle's last match, but will be available at Norwich this Saturday, according to manager Rafa Benitez.

Janmaat has by far been Newcastle's best and most consistent defender this season. Unfortunately, Newcastle have just one clean sheet in their last 15 league matches.

Janmaat (leg) is starting Saturday against Chelsea.

Janmaat was reportedly dealing with dead leg, but it wasn't nearly bad enough to keep him out. While Chelsea have disappointed this season, they are still unbeaten under manager Guus Hiddink, and their attacking players have been solid.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Janmaat should be able to play Saturday against Chelsea despite dealing with dead leg, the Chronicle reports.

Newcastle are dealing with a host of injuries throughout the team, particularly in defense, so while Janmaat's ailment certainly isn't good, it's a relief that he's not facing a significant time on the sideline.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Janmaat grabbed an assist on two key passes, curled in team-leading seven crosses and added a dribble in the 2-1 crucial victory over West Ham on Saturday.

Exceptional pass from Jonjo Shelvey found Janmaat deep on the right flank and he crossed the ball quickly to the unmarked Georginio Wijnaldum, who was bursting from the left and netted the ball to make it 2-0. The right back was very active offensively and had a great game to increase his tally to a goal and three assists on the season. Newcastle's porous defense and the numerous defeats, however, are limiting his fantasy upside. Next up for the Magpies is a visit to the stingy Hornets next Saturday.
