RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa had two shots Sunday as New York City FC fell to Orlando City 2-1 on the road.

Villa tied teammate Frank Lampard as New York City FC's No. 2 in total shots (two) against Orlando City in Sunday's fixture, but failed to find the back of the net for the first time in three showings in the defeat. The forward continues to prove one of the top scorers in MLS this season, but now finds the New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips joining both him and Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco as the league's leader in overall goals (16). Villa also added three recoveries and a single tackle to his overall numbers in the loss, just NYCFC's third away from Yankee Stadium in 2016.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa tapped in the only goal of Saturday's 1-0 win over Los Angeles. It was a gift for Villa as he collected a rebound in front of net beyond the goalie. He finished with six shots, four of them on target.

Villa has easily been NYC FC's most productive player this season and now has three goals in the last two matches. With a game at Orlando City next, he could easily extend that goal streak.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa scored a brace in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Columbus. He finished with four shots and had two shots on goal.

Villa is up to 15 goals on the season and is tied with Sebastian Giovinco for the league lead. His first goal came in the 83rd minute and he scored the go-ahead goal in injury time before a late Crew equalizer. As evidenced by this game, Villa has the ability to be shutdown for the entire game but then strike for multiple goals in a flash.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa is suspended for Saturday's match against the Rapids because of yellow card accumulation.

Villa picked up a dumb yellow card toward the end of the New York derby last weekend, forcing him into the one-match ban. With Patrick Mullins now with D.C. United, NYC FC could use Tony Taylor up front.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa scored a goal on two shots (one on target) during New York's 2-1 win over Montreal on Sunday.

Villa increased his season tally to 13 goals, two more than Montreal's Ignacio Piatti for the league lead. The Spaniard continues to evidence on a weekly basis he's one of the best attackers in the league.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa scored in the 66th minute of Sunday's 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls. He finished with eight shots, four shots on goal and suffered three fouls.

Villa leads the league with 12 goals on the season and has scored in four of his last five appearances. Spain's all-time leading goal scorer continues to be one of the most dangerous strikers in MLS.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Villa attempted seven shots and scored the second goal in a Man of the Match performance during Saturday's 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

Villa showed no signs of rust after a two-week layoff, as he threatened the Union back line early and often and deftly tucked home a back-heel from Jack Harrison with his left foot in the 21st minute. Villa has been prolific this season and is in good form at the moment, with three goals and an assist in his last three matches. He will look to extend his current streak next week versus Seattle.
