Wright-Phillips made his MLS debut by coming on in the 61st minute for Lloyd Sam, and he picked up an assist on Bradley Wright-Phillips' 74th minute goal during the Red Bulls' 3-1 win over Philadelphia on Saturday.

Wright-Phillips had been training with the Red Bulls for the last month, so it wasn't surprising to see him be available for a match just days after officially signing with the team. The Red Bulls' midfield is pretty crowded, but SWP should be able to find a consistent role.

Wright-Phillips officially signed with the Red Bulls on Monday and he could make his team debut Saturday against Philadelphia, the New York Post reports.

Wright-Phillips signed a non-DP contract, which could allow the Red Bulls to add another big name this summer. He has been a solid goal scorer in his career, and at 33 years old, he could still find the back of the net in Major League Soccer. He has been training with the club since last month and could form a solid partnership with his brother, Bradley.

Wright-Phillips is expected to sign with the Red Bulls of Major League Soccer on a non-designated player contract, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Wright-Phillips was released by Queens Park Rangers after this past season and has been training with the Red Bulls this summer. His is the brother of Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips, though his scoring prowess, especially at age 33, is not close to his sibling's.
