Lopez has signed with AC Milan after completing a transfer from Real Madrid.

Lopez found himself on the outside looking in at Real Madrid once Keylor Navas was acquired to provide competition for Iker Casillas. Lopez needed to make only one save during Saturday's 2-0 win over Malaga.

The clean sheet was Lopez's second of the season and first since back on August 26 against Granada. He'll likely head to the bench for Wednesday's Champions League match against Juventus, in favor of Iker Casillas, before getting back in goal for next Saturday's Clasico.

Lopez made one save and allowed one goal during Sunday's 3-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Lopez continues to start over Iker Casillas and yet there seems to be continued controversy around the decision. Either way, the Spanish keeper has seven saves in three Liga matches, giving up two goals over that span.

Lopez has been named Real Madrid's top goalkeeper ahead of Iker Casillas, Goal.com reports.

Many expected Casillas to win the top job when new manager Carlo Ancelotti took over for Jose Mourinho, but that didn't turn out to be the case. As recently as Saturday, Ancelotti said he wasn't sure who his keeper would be, but he named Lopez the starter for Sunday's match against Real Betis and he's likely to keep the job from here on out.
