RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013-14

There was no outlook written for Vladimir Radmanovic.

2012-13

Could give the Bulls some three-point shooting off the bench

2011-12

The Hawks will be the sixth NBA team Radmanovic has suited up for since entering the league in 2001. He’s only going to play limited minutes off the bench, so he’s not going to be a significant fantasy contributor. The one area he excels in is shooting from distance - he has averaged 1.4 three-pointers in 23.0 minutes per game for his career.

2010-11

Radmanovic has always been regarded as a long-distance shooter, but threes rarely fell for the Rad-Man last year, as he only made 28 percent of his shots behind the line. While he does grab more rebounds than you’d expect (9.6 per 48 minutes), Radmanovic provides little else.

2009-10

Radmanovic will come off the bench at either forward position when the Bobcats need a shooting jolt from the outside. He is a good -- not great -- outside shooter, capable of putting up 20 points in 25 minutes on occasion. The fact that the Bobcats are not deep at the forward position will allow Radmanovic to get plenty of playing time and aggregate some decent numbers.

2008-09

"The Space Cadet" is always a nice source of threes, but is always something else, too: inconsistent. Unless he earns the starting small forward spot, Radmanovic should be a last-round pick or free agent in most formats.

2007-08

It may not be possible for a player to have a more disappointing debut with a new team than Radmanovic had last season. Brought in at more than $6 million per year to help ease the scoring burden on Kobe Bryant, Radmanovic quickly found himself buried at the end of the bench before separating his shoulder in an All-Star break snowboarding accident. On the court, Radmanovic posted career lows in nearly every statistical category, including minutes, points, three-point percentage, rebounds and assists. As if the snowboarding incident wasn’t reason enough, his lack of commitment on defense also earned him a spot in coach Phil Jackson’s doghouse, from which he has yet to emerge. Avoid the mistake that the Lakers made last offseason, and keep Radmanovic off your fantasy team.

2006-07

In Radmanovic, the Lakers signed who they hope will be a three-point shooter who can take some pressure off of Kobe Bryant. The "Rad-Man" is a gunner with absolutely no conscience, as 5.3 of his 8.6 shots per game last year were from beyond the arc. The fact that he made nearly 42% of those shots earned him a $31 million contract from the Lakers, and he will be expected to provide similar numbers this year.

2005-06

Radmanovic left nearly $40 million on the table this offseason when he turned down a six-year deal worth $42 million to sign a one-year, $3.16 million contract in hopes of cashing in as an unrestricted free agent next season. Radmanovic averaged 11.8 points last year in about 30 minutes a game off the bench, shooting 38.9 percent from 3-point range. Radmanovic desperately wants to start and will compete with Nick Collison and Reggie Evans for the power forward job. His problem, though, is he isn't physical enough for the four, where the Sonics would like a defensive-minded starter, and Rashard Lewis has small forward locked up. So, where does Radmanovic fit in? Probably coming off the bench again.

2004-05

The Sonics did not offer Radmanovic a contract extension in the offseason and the Euro likely has one more season to prove his worth before the Sonics cut their losses. Seattle envisioned the 6-foot-10 Radmanovic playing power foward, but that didn't pan out. Radmanovic is a quality small foward as he shoots 37.5 percent on 3-pointes and the offense can run through him, but he's never going to bump Rashard Lewis from the starting 3 spot. Therefore, his upside is limited. If he gets consistent minutes, Radmanovic's fantasy value increases.

2003-04

Radmanovic has potential. He split time at the 3 and 4 last year. He'll back up Rashard Lewis at the SF and could start at PF. Averaged 10.1 ppg and likes to shoot the three, too, hitting 35.5 percent from 3-poing range. Won't be a fantasy star by any means, but could prove useful.
