Sanders indicated in a recent interview with Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports that he plans on pursuing a return to the NBA at some point. RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2016-17

There was no outlook written for Larry Sanders.

2014-15

Sanders had one of the most tumultuous seasons of any player in the league in 2013-14, as injuries and suspensions limited him to just 23 games. A thumb injury sustained during a nightclub brawl sidelined him for 25 games in November and December, and an orbital fracture suffered February 8 cost him the remainder of the season. In 25 minutes per game, Sanders finished with averages of 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. In addition to the injuries, Sanders also dealt with a number of off-court issues. There was the nightclub brawl, an animal cruelty citation, and a reported verbal spat with then-teammate Gary Neal after a mid-season loss. To top it all off, Sanders received a five-game suspension for marijuana and publicly defended his use of the drug. Despite being injured, Sanders was able to serve his suspension over the final five games of the season. He'll look to start anew in 2014-15, as the four-year, $44 million extension he signed last summer kicks in. Despite all of his troubles, Sanders projects to return as Milwaukee's starting center. He could be pushed by John Henson, but he'll likely have a fairly firm hold on the starting job, as the team hopes he can regain the rim-protecting ability that made him a defensive player of the year candidate two seasons ago. When healthy and focused, Sanders is one of the NBA's premier shot-blockers and rebounders, but he's often in foul trouble and still has problems controlling his on-court demeanor. Sanders is a risky fantasy play, but if he regains his 2012-13 form, he could be a major steal.

2013-14

Prior to the 2012-13 season, Sanders wasn't on many fantasy radars. During his sophomore campaign in 2011-12, Sanders played just 12 minutes per game to finish with averages of 3.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. But once last season tipped off, it didn't take long for Sanders to establish himself as one of the hottest early-season waiver wire targets and a defensive fantasy beast. The 24-year-old capped his breakout campaign with averages of 9.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 27 minutes per game. The Bucks rewarded Sanders for his big 2012-13 campaign by signing him to a four-year, $44-million deal this offseason, cementing him as one of the franchise's cornerstones for the next handful of years. Sanders' offensive skills are still raw and he needs to develop on that end of the court to be a truly elite fantasy option, but he was one of the top shot blockers in the league last season and figures to dominate that category again, making him a solid addition to any fantasy roster.

2012-13

Sanders appeared to be the odd man out in the Bucks frontcourt, but the team used him as a starter during the preseason, so it seems the Bucks may have more in store for him than anticipated. Sanders will share the center duties with Dalembert and Przybilla, but there is an outside shot that he opens the year in the starting lineup to help monitor the minutes of his two veteran counterparts.

2011-12

Sanders’ rare athleticism at 6-11 helped him average over a block per game in his rookie season despite playing only 14 minutes per game. He should play a bit more in his second year, but he is still raw offensively and doesn’t provide much beyond blocks. However, if he makes some strides in his game and earns a bigger role, he could have some value for his swat totals alone.

2010-11

Sanders is an athletic, high-energy big man who can run the floor and might make an immediate impact as a shot-blocker, but 15 minutes per night seems like a best-case scenario, so it will be tough for him to produce much fantasy value as a rookie.
