Barkley, who entered Sunday's game late in the second quarter, after Michael Vick (hamstring) left with an injury, completed 17-of-26 passes for 158 yards and an interception Sunday against the Giants. He was also sacked three times and fumbled three times, losing one.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Things started off well for Barkley, who lead the Eagles inside the Giants' five-yard line on his first possession, only to get sacked and lose a fumble. He was unable to get the Eagles any closer on the day, as the team's lone touchdown came on a special teams play. It's unclear if Vick (hamstring) or Nick Foles (concussion) will be ready to play in Week 9, but if they are not, Barkley will face a Raiders defense that picked off Ben Roethlisberger twice Sunday and sacked him five times.
Barkley, who entered Sunday's game against the Cowboys, after Nick Foles was forced out with a head injury, completed 11-of-20 passes for 129 yards, but was picked off three times.

The Eagles selected Barkley (shoulder) in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, 98th overall.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Barkley doesn't have the running skills that people typically assume Chip Kelly needs from his quarterback, but Barkley does have the quick decision, quick release sort of game that Kelly requires more than anything else. Barkley is at the very least a future trade chip for the Eagles, and Kelly is creative enough to accommodate Barkley if necessary. Barkley probably has about a 20 percent chance of starting in 2014.
The Jaguars are believed to think highly of Barkley (shoulder), CBS's Jason La Canfora reports.

Barkley (shoulder) is confident he'll be ready for his March 27 pro day, the Bills' official site reports. "I'm 100 percent on track with my rehab program," Barkley said Friday. "Itís been a slow process. You have to be very patient at times with the rehab that Iíve been doing. Iíve been in great hands with Dr. Andrews, Dr. (Neal) ElAttrache on the West Coast and Dr. (James) Tibone. By March 27th on my pro day, I should be perfect to throw."

2013

The Eagles' quarterback situation is one to monitor because at press time new coach Chip Kelly hasn't committed to a starter. Moreover, it's highly unlikely the favorite at press time, Michael Vick, would start 16 games Ė something he's done just once in his 10-year career. If Vick goes down, Barkley and second-year passer Nick Foles would battle to replace him. The smart money might be on Barkley Ė the player Kelly drafted in the fourth round, though Foles played passably in a bad situation down the stretch last year.
