New York (NL) - Bobby Parnell tossed a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday’s game to pick up his sixth save of the season. Parnell has been up-and-down this month, but he has not allowed an earned run in his last 6.2 innings.

Oakland - Andrew Bailey recovered from a rough outing last time out to pick up his 21st save of the season Thursday. Bailey hasn’t been nearly as dominant this year as he was a season ago, but don’t forget he posted an ERA under 2.00 each of the last two seasons.

Steve Cishek, RP, FLA - With Leo Nunez unavailable for the rest of the season, Cishek figures to assume the closer’s role for the Marlins over the final week. Cishek has posted a 2.84 ERA and 52:18 K:BB ratio in 50.2 innings this season, so he may get you a few strikeouts in addition to a save or two. Cishek’s long-term outlook is still questionable, but he has at least solidified a spot in the Marlins’ bullpen next season.
