Recommended Pickup

Colby Lewis, P, TEX – Lewis famously chastised Colby Rasmus for laying down a bunt single back on his July 19 start against the Blue Jays. Though it was not his best start, Lewis did hold the Jays to two runs in five innings in a tough luck loss. Since then, Lewis has turned his season around with three quality starts in a row, including Tuesday’s complete game shutout against the White Sox. Lewis’s number could be altered all season by the 13 runs (11 earned) he allowed against the Angels on July 10. He is certainly not in the top tier of pitchers, but Lewis appears to finally be progressing from hip and forearm injuries that cut out much of his 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Other Recent Recommendations: Kennys Vargas, Javier Baez, Jedd Gyorko, Stephen Vogt, Anthony Gose, J.P. Arencibia
