PITCHER
Scott Kazmir, MIL at LAD ($8,500): It hasn't been a flawless run, but Kazmir has allowed three earned runs or fewer in six of his past seven starts with a 3.64 ERA and 45 punchouts over 42 innings. The Brewers have a 22.5 strikeout percentage against southpaws for the season and a 25.0 percent mark over the past 30 days. The biggest risk is Kazmir's ownership being high in tournaments.
J.A. Happ, TOR at PHI ($7,300): With consecutive duds, Happ's salary is down and his ownership could be low due to a lack of trust. However, there is no shame in being roughed up by the Tigers and Orioles. Plus, the last time he had a poor outing (May 16 vs. Tampa Bay), Happ bounced back by posting a 2.21 ERA over his next three starts. The Phillies also have a second-worst wOBA (.265) and wRC+ (62) against southpaws with a 23.8 strikeout percentage for the season.
CATCHER
Russell Martin, TOR at PHI ($3,000): With an active 16-for-55 run at the dish, which includes 12 runs, five home runs, 15 RBI and .988 OPS during the 18-game span, Martin is kicking his early-season blues. The price point is low, and Aaron Nola has allowed at least four runs in three of his past five starts. Since joining Toronto, Martin has a solid .324 wOBA and 105 wRC+ against right-handed hurlers, too.
FIRST BASE
Eric Hosmer, KC vs. DET ($3,700): While there may be a contrarian angle with Hosmer facing Justin Verlander (1.93 ERA through his past seven outings), Hosmer has also been scorching hot. Through his past 20 games, he has 12 runs, four homers, 19 RBI and a .365/.422/.595 slash line. Obviously, there is some risk here, but the salary has it baked in, and Hosmer's upside is huge next to a likely low ownership.
SECOND BASE
Dustin Pedroia, BOS vs. BAL ($4,900): It's been a throwback season for Pedroia, as he's on pace to have his best showing since 2011. He's also mashed right-handed arms this season with a .885 OPS, .381 wOBA and 137 wRC+, while opposing starter Tyler Wilson has allowed a .329 wOBA and a 32.0 hard-hit percentage to right-handed hitters since entering the league.
THIRD BASE
Justin Turner, LAD vs. MIL ($3,600): Through his past 10 games, Turner has five runs, three doubles, three home runs and seven RBI with a .923 OPS. But what's more intriguing is June seems to be the month where he settles in at the dish. In June 2014 and 2015, Turner went a combined 51-for-143 (.357 batting average). Additionally, he's handled right-handed pitchers extremely well with a .366 wOBA and 136 wRC+ since the beginning of 2014.
SHORTSTOP
Jose Iglesias, DET at KC ($3,700): Since the beginning of 2014, Iglesias has a .353 wOBA and 123 wRC+ against left-handed hurlers, including a solid 24.6 hard-hit percentage. Danny Duffy's strong run since joining the rotation could keep Iglesias' ownership level down, but Detroit has a righty-heavy lineup, which should help Iglesias in the run and RBI department.
OUTFIELD
Yoenis Cespedes, NYM at PIT ($4,400): Dating back to the beginning of 2014, Cespedes boasts a .361 wOBA and 132 wRC+. He also has a multi-hit game in five of his past seven outings. Juan Nicasio has a 7.03 ERA and allowed a .585 slugging percentage through his past seven outings, too.
Andrew McCutchen, PIT vs. NYM ($3,300): Sporting an active 0-for-15 stretch without reaching base, McCutchen was moved back into the three-hole in an attempt to kick-start a hot stretch. There are clearly issues, and there is clearly a lot of risk rolling with the former MVP. At the same time, McCutchen's track record is enticing at this price.
Lorenzo Cain, KC vs, DET ($2,700): Sunday, Cain was a $4,200 outfielder. He's posted a .310/.355/.460 slash line through his past 25 games with 12 runs, three home runs and 16 RBI. His priced is way down, and as noted, Justin Verlander is in a groove, but as far as sources of savings go, it's tough to argue with Cain. He hits in the heart of the lineup and boasts a .322 wOBA since the beginning of 2015 against righties.
