Pitcher
Chris Sale, BOS vs MN ($11,700) – There are a few good options on this slate, but this looks like a good spot to pay up for Sale. Whether or not Sale gives up a few runs is almost irrelevant as long as he continues to rack up the strikeouts at a high rate. Sale has recorded nine or more strikeouts in 12 of 15 starts this season and he'll likely get that mark against the Twins. The Twins got to Sale for four runs earlier this season, but they whiffed 10 times in that game.
Catcher
Gary Sanchez, NYY at CHW ($3,700) – The Yankees lineup as a whole is in a funk, but Sanchez has managed to produce through it. He cracked a three-run home run Sunday, which put him into double-digit fantasy points for the 11th time in his past 13 games. He'll face lefty David Holmberg, who has pitched pretty well this season, but carries a 5.43 xFIP against righties.
First Base
Paul Goldschmidt, AZ vs PHI ($4,700) – The Phillies pitching staff has somehow held the Diamondbacks in check for two of three games in this series, but I highly doubt they can do it again in this spot. Goldschmidt hasn't had a good series to this point, but he's too good to be held down for long. He'll face righty Nick Pivetta, which works out great for Goldschmidt as he enters with the third highest wOBA in the majors against righties this season.
Second Base
Scooter Gennett, CIN at STL ($2,700) – Gennett shocked the baseball world when he posted a four-homer game against the Cardinals earlier this season, and although that effort looked like a fluke, he's managed to stay productive since that game. In fact, he enters with the second highest wOBA against righties on the Reds, trailing only Joey Votto. Michael Wacha takes the hill for the Cardinals and he's in the midst of a tough stretch where he's recorded just one quality start in his past six outings.
Shortstop
Stephen Drew, WAS vs CHC ($2,500) – This is a bit of a speculative pick as Drew is not a regular starter, but he hasn't been in the lineup since June 21, so I'm guessing he'll get the nod here. If he is in the lineup, he has a lot of value at this price, as he's averaged 11.8 points per game when starting. Most of his production has come against righties this season and he faces one here in Eddie Butler. Butler enters with a 4.19 ERA and has only one quality start in eight tries this year.
Third Base
Justin Turner, LAD vs LAA ($3,800) – With Ricky Nolasco on the mound for the Angels, the Dodgers are likely the best stack on this slate. Nolasco enters with a 5.82 ERA and he's been particularly bad lately, having surrendered 10 runs in his past two starts. Justin Turner leads the Dodgers with a .426 wOBA against righties this season and is option No. 1 among Dodgers hitters.
Outfield
Joc Pederson, LAD vs LAA ($3,400) – As mentioned earlier, the Dodgers present what looks to be the best stack on the board, and Pederson provides a good middle-tier option as part of that stack. Pederson has a healthy .377 wOBA against righties this season and he's been on fire lately, posting 18 points or more in each of his past five starts.
Avisail Garcia, CHW vs NYY ($3,200) – Jordan Montgomery takes the hill for the Yankees, and while he's been serviceable this season, he's in a tough spot here as the White Sox are one of the better teams against lefties. Leading the way is Garcia, who enters with a .480 wOBA against southpaws, which is top-10 in the majors.
Jon Jay, CHC at WAS ($2,200) – With the demotion of Kyle Schwarber and the injuries to Ben Zobrist and Jason Heyward, Jay has slid into the top spot of the potent Cubs lineup. That's reason enough to draft him at this price, but if you need more, consider that Jay has actually hit lefties better this season than righties. The matchup against Gio Gonzalez isn't a great one, but Jay is certainly worth a shot at this price.
