PITCHER
Jose Quintana, CWS at MIN ($45): Quintana has been borderline dominant over the last two months, having allowed one earned run or fewer in six of 10 starts, while allowing two earned in two other outings and lasting at least six innings in every start. Thursday will mark his fifth start of the season against the Twins, and in his previous four he's allowed seven runs (four in one outing) while striking out 27 in 26.2 innings. There appears to be little risk with sound reward in this light slate.
Jarred Cosart, SD at ATL ($27): At first glance, I was on board with totally bypassing this game over weather concerns. But Cosart seems to offer nice value as the second-lowest priced pitcher. He's allowed one run in each of his last three starts (162. innings), and the Braves remain one of the weakest hitting squads, posting a woeful .104 ISO against lefties while adding just a .286 wOBP. Mix in the looming weather after a 12:10 p.m. EDT start, and there should be plenty of swings early in the count as both teams look to get out of town before a tropical storm moves in.

CATCHER
Buster Posey, SF at CHC ($17): Normally, I'd never advocate for spending behind the plate, but with such a tiny slate paired with travel and day games, it makes sense to spend an average price for Posey. He's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, amassing 12 bases, and will face Mike Montgomery, who has only lasted five innings twice since July while largely working in relief. Posey's .379 wOBP against lefties certainly doesn't hurt either.
FIRST BASE
Jose Abreu, CWS at MIN ($20): Abreu is fresh off a month when he hit .357 and launched seven of his 18 home runs. Though his power has been marginally better against lefties, Abreu has a .349 wOBP against right handers against a .297 wOBP against southpaws, seemingly keeping his floor stable against Ervin Santana, who has allowed seven runs and eight walks over his last three starts.
SECOND BASE
Dee Gordon, MIA at NYM ($12): Mets starter Jacob deGrom has allowed 13 runs and 25 hits over his last starts, spanning just 9.2 innings. As the highest priced pitcher Thursday, that should be enough to fade him, and with Gordon setting the table and checking in sixth at his position based on price, there's value to be had. That Gordon is just 4-for-his-last-25 is concerning, which should make him even more of a contrarian play against the day's perceived ace.
THIRD BASE
Kris Bryant, CHC vs. SFG ($27): The only reason not to use Bryant would be if he's not in the lineup. He's going to be a popular pick, but riding a 13-game hitting streak in a slate where price is no object, the high floor/high ceiling combo makes Bryant a no-brainer.
SHORTSTOP
Dansby Swanson, ATL vs. SD ($8): It's nearly impossible to avoid picking a batter against a chosen pitcher with only four games to choose from. And Swanson's on base prowess at his low price makes him the ideal bargain pick. With his walk Wednesday, Swanson has now reached base in nine of his last 11 games, and he carries a .400 OBP against lefties into Thursday.
OUTFIELD
Avisail Garcia, CWS at MIN ($12): Since missing just over two weeks, Garcia has returned to turn in arguably his best stretch of the season, gong 10-for-32, including four extra-base hits. He'll face Ervin Santana on Thursday, a veteran who allowed six runs and five walks in his last start.
Oswaldo Arcia, SD at ATL ($11): Arcia has made quite the impression in his very limited, three-game, stint with the Padres, homering in consecutive games. He went long in his only at-bat against Thursday starter Mike Foltynewicz, who has allowed three long balls in his last four outings and a .349 wOBP to lefties, surprisingly making Arcia a little more than feast or famine.
Hunter Pence, SF at CHC ($9): After missing three games, Pence has four hits in six at-bats. He'll carry a sound .359 wOBP and .247 ISO against lefties in advance of squaring off against Mike Montgomery.
