PITCHER
Chris Sale, BOS at CHW ($26,000): Sale proved he was human his last time out, but even in a game when he looked mortal, he still posted pretty good numbers. He will go through highs and lows this season, but until we are sure he's in a low, there's no reason to fade him. The White Sox have the best wOBA against left-handed pitchers this season, but they haven't faced one like Sale, who should be familiar with plenty of the bats in the lineup.
Jose Berrios, MN vs. HOU ($14,400): Houston is generally a team I stay away from when selecting my pitchers, but getting a guy like Berrios at this price is tough to pass up. The sample size is small, but through three starts he trails only Sale in fantasy points per game. In case you think this is a fluke, remember, Berrios has been one of the most highly touted prospects for a while and is just now figuring out how to pitch at this level.
INFIELD
Miguel Cabrera, DET at KC ($9,200): Cabrera is not slugging like he has in years past, but he's still a productive hitter. He leads the Tigers in wOBA against lefties and gets a nice matchup against lefty Eric Skoglund, who posted a 4.35 ERA in the minors this season.
Devon Travis, TOR vs. CIN ($7,500): Travis started the season poorly, but over the past month, he has a .432 wOBA against righties, which is good for 18th in the majors. Travis and the Jays get righty Asher Wojciechowski, who has fared well in two games this season but might be in over his head against a red hot Jays lineup.
Joe Mauer, MN vs. HOU ($7,600): Mauer has rediscovered his power stroke over the past week and just in time for Mike Fiers, who has surrendered a league-high 18 home runs this season. Mauer has 11 hits in his past six games, four of which have gone for extra bases. The entire Twins lineup is locked in right now, which should provide some good opportunities for Mauer, who is batting third.
OUTFIELD
J.D. Martinez, DET at KC ($10,200): Martinez continues to slug at a very high rate, with eight home runs in just 17 games. As mentioned earlier, Martinez and the Tigers get a shot at lefty Eric Skoglund in what should be a short outing for the rookie. The Tigers appear to be one of the best stack options on this slate.
Corey Dickerson, TB at TEX ($9,300): Dickerson and the Rays have found their collective bats over the past week and another good night is in store against Nick Martinez. Dickerson is leading the recent charge with seven hits over his last two games. He's also the best hitter in the Rays' lineup against righties this season with a .416 wOBA. Meanwhile, Martinez has surrendered at least four runs in three of his past five starts.
Jay Bruce, NYM vs. MIL ($8,800): Whenever there is a righty facing the Mets, you have one of three choices: select Bruce, select Michael Conforto or select both. With Zach Davies on the hill for the Brewers, I would recommend drafting both, but if you have to choose between the two, I would lean towards Bruce, who is $1,400 cheaper and he's played better than Conforto over the past week.
UTLIITY
Andrelton Simmons, LAA vs. ATL ($7,200): Someone will have to step up in the absence of Mike Trout, and Simmons looks like a good candidate to do so. He has an 11-game hitting streak, including seven with multiple hits. Up next is a matchup against Bartolo Colon, who's back to his old ways after a brief two-game stretch when he looked like a major league pitcher. The Angels don't have a lot of firepower without Trout, but they should be able to get to Colon.
Salvador Perez, KC vs. DET ($6,400): Perez has been the most reliable hitter in the Royals' lineup this season and he's the most likely hitter to get to Justin Verlander. Perez has faced Verlander 55 times in his career and is 23-for-52, with eight doubles and two home runs. Meanwhile, Verlander has not been as sharp this season as last year.
