Scheme and Metrics fantasy team preview- we’ll take a look at each of the 32 teams and look at a combination of offensive scheme/philosophy and some player metrics to give us something else to think about when drafting our fantasy squads this summer. In this edition, we’ll look at Washington.
Another day, another training camp round-up. Every team has at least had its rookies report to camp save for Dallas and San Francisco and news abounds. Let’s get right to it.
- Melvin Gordon stayed true to his word and didn’t show up to camp. He wants a new contract, and the two sides are reportedly far apart in negotiations. Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson will take first-team reps in the 26-year-old’s absence and would be the main beneficiaries if he were to get traded or if this becomes Le’Veon Bell, pt. deux.
- Washington’s Derrius Guice has been cleared for full participation in practice according to John Keim of ESPN. The 2018 second-round pick is expected to share carries evenly with Adrian Peterson to begin the season and has feature-back potential if he can stay healthy in his first year back from an ACL tear.
