Walker is in the starting lineup Sunday against Florida State.

Walker has came off the bench in all but one game this season, but will now make his first start since Dec. 5. He'll take the spot of Dejan Vasiljevic, who doesn't appear to be injured, suggesting Walker's placement could be more permanent this time around. Over the last five games, Walker has averaged under 20 minutes and produced 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds, so the timing of this move is a bit unique. Nonetheless, the five-star freshman earning a starting spot was considered by many to be inevitable. The NBA prospect should now be given a bit more playing time to showcase his skills, which could get him firmly back on the fantasy radar.

Perry Missner is back to profile the freshman currently excelling in ancillary roles, which could be especially helpful for dynasty leagues if said players decide to stay in school.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker went off for a career-high 26 points (9-15 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, and two assists in the win over Boston University on Tuesday.

Walker got the start in place of Bruce Brown who is dealing with a hand injury. The freshman certainly took the advantage of his opportunity as he more than doubled his previous career high. Walker is averaging just under 22 minutes per game so far this season. With Bruce Brown likely out at least one more game, Walker should continue to start in his place. Miami will take on George Washington on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker is starting Tuesday's game against Boston University.

The freshman is stepping in for Bruce Brown, who will be out at least the next two games as he deals with a hand injury. Walker is recently coming off a twisted ankle in a game against Florida A&M, but appears to have completely healed and is averaging 7.6 points off the bench this year.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against La Salle.

Walker hasn't started a game all year, so this isn't necessarily out of the ordinary for the Miami freshman. He did, however, suffer a twisted ankle in his last game, the severity of which is unclear. The highly-touted guard remains a risky fantasy play until he starts showing more steady contributions.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker suffered a twisted left ankle during Thursday's victory over Florida A&M, but should be ready to go for Wednesday's contest against La Salle.

The freshman is averaging 7.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists during Miami's first three games of the season, and is expected to play a huge role for the team this year. This bit of news comes as a sigh of relief, since it appears as though there was no structural damage or even any swelling to the ankle.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker will be "close to 100 percent" in advance of the team's season opener against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 10, The Palm Beach Post reports.

Walker was granted full clearance last week, but the missed practice time means he is not in game shape just yet. An earlier post from Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post shows that Walker is alright in short bursts, so it looks like only a matter of conditioning before the five-star freshman is game ready. Despite incumbents Ja'Quan Newton and Bruce Brown expected to take on a heavy role in the Canes backcourt, a healthy walker should see a meaningful minutes workload out of the gates, and could even work his way into the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Jim Larranaga said Walker (knee) has been fully cleared to play, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Walker, who has been participating in warm up drills recently, is set to return to game play for the first time since suffering a torn meniscus back in July. The highly-regarded freshman is still hoping to be ready for the season opener in November, though he may be forced to settle for a bench role to open the season given his limited amount of practice time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker (knee) was cleared for warm up drills, but has not been cleared for game play, CBS Sports reports.

Walker is a 6-4 guard who is expected to start next to Ja'Quan Newton and Bruce Brown, but Walker suffered a meniscus injury in July. He is making steady progress and could be ready for the season in November. Expect coach Jim Larranaga to take his time bringing the McDonald's All-American back in the fold.
