ANALYSIS
Russell missed all but six games with Pepperdine last season, as a shoulder injury forced him to miss the majority of the year. He was granted a medical redshirt and will now have one year of eligibility remaining to play with Houston Baptist. He's also a graduate transfer, which means he should be able to play immediately for the Huskies. In his last full season with Pepperdine, Russell posted averages of 5.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists over 19 minutes per game.
