RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson provided 24 points (8-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT) with 20 rebounds in the win over Northern Iowa on Thursday.

Johnson has strung together four straight double-doubles and the Bears have won all four games. He has 10 double-doubles on the season and is averaging 15.1 points and 11.2 rebounds. After a slow start because of a preseason knee injury, Johnson is flying and is going to be a problem for Missouri Valley opponents. The Bears head to Illinois State on Sunday in what could be a good match up between the 6-9 senior and Milik Yarbrough.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson scored 23 points (8-21 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT) and grabbed 20 rebounds in the loss to North Dakota State on Friday.

Johnson only played 26 minutes, but has been playing more minutes after having a knee issue in September. He has consecutive double-doubles and the big numbers should continue Monday against Georgia Southern.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson (knee) will play in Friday's game versus Western Kentucky, Arthur Hains of 98.7 Sports Talk reports.

Johnson was expected to be available Friday evening and that is indeed the case. However, he will be on a minute restriction for the contest as he continues to heal up his knee. He should provide the biggest impact of any player on Missouri State's 2017-18 roster and is considered a candidate to be selected in the 2018 NBA Draft. He will attempt to improve on a junior campaign in which he averaged 14.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson (knee) will likely play in Friday's game against Western Kentucky, Wyatt Wheeler of the Springfield News-Leader reports.

Johnson has been sidelined by a knee issue since late September and reportedly on a 4-to-6 week recovery timetable, but it seems he's going to give it a go Friday evening. Assuming he dresses, as expected, the big man should be Missouri State's best player by far in 2017-18. He tested the waters prior to the 2017 NBA Draft, but ultimately decided to rejoin the team for his senior campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson may not be available for the opener against Western Kentucky on Nov. 10 after injuring his knee during an individual workout on Sept. 26, the Springfield News-Leader reports. The star forward said, "We're being cautious about it. If I feel perfectly fine, I'll go out there and play. It's kind of up to me."

Johnson is coming off a breakout season in which he averaged 14.8 points and 10.6 rebounds. He was expected to be out 4-6 weeks after the injury and likely will not play in Wednesday's exhibition against Southwest Baptist. Even if he returns for the beginning of the season, the 6-9 senior may be on a minutes restriction to protect against re-injuring the knee.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Missouri State coach Paul Lusk said Monday that Johnson will withdraw from the 2017 NBA Draft and return to school for his senior season, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports.

Johnson wasn't a serious candidate to bolt for the professional ranks and put his name in consideration for the draft more as a means of getting feedback from NBA talent evaluators. He'll look to boost his stock as a senior after averaging 14.8 points (on 48.8 percent shooting from the field), 10.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 30.2 minutes per game in 2016-17.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson is declaring for the upcoming NBA Draft but will not hire an agent, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Johnson was a dominant force in the Missouri Valley Conference last season, averaging a double-double per contest (14.8 PPG, 10.6 RPG). He'll at least test the draft waters to receive feedback from NBA scouts. At 6-9, Johnson is an undersized prospect relative to his collegiate position of center. That said, he did show enough as a rebounder to potentially stick as an undersized power forward.
