Expected to see more time at point guard
Oakland head coach Greg Kempe said Scott would see more time at point guard after freshman Brailen Neely (knee) suffered a season-ending ACL tear earlier this month, Keith Dunlap of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have been gutted by injuries lately with Neely, Martez Walker (foot) and Jaevin Cumberland (ankle) out for the season and Brad Brechting (foot) out indefinitely, forcing Oakland to thrust inexperienced players into heavy minutes. Scott has logged a combined 50 minutes over Oakland's last two games, but has little to show for it, averaging 4.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in those contests.
