Shortly after the NCAA cancelled the remainder of the 2019-20 season in mid-March, Thomas elected to enter the transfer portal. At some point thereafter, Thomas also elected to declare for the draft, but he'll likely go through the pre-draft process while maintaining his collegiate eligibility. As a junior at Morehead State this past season, Thomas averaged 8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.0 assists in 31.7 minutes per game. Those numbers coupled with his lack of size (5-foot-11, 185 pounds) make it unlikely he'll get selected in the draft if he decides to turn pro, though he shouldn't have much trouble finding a new home in the Division I ranks ahead of his senior season. If Thomas transfers elsewhere, it's unclear if he would be able to compete immediately or if he would require a waiver from the NCAA.
