Stokes will continue to see limited minutes as he returns from injury, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.

Stokes played just 10 minutes in Kansas State's last game against Virginia, and will remain on a 'pitch count' as he makes his way back from a foot injury. Coach Bruce Weber stated that Stokes could play more than 10 minutes Wednesday against Texas, which would be another step in the right direction. He'll likely continue to come off the bench and have his minutes closely monitored to prevent further injury over the next few games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) returned to the court Saturday after missing the Wildcats' previous seven games.

The junior guard played just ten minutes of Kansas State's blowout loss to West Virginia. He went 0-for-3 from the field, finishing with two points and four assists. It was the first time Stokes has appeared from the bench this season, though he's likely to reclaim his place in the starting lineup once he's fully recovered from his injury.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) is taking part in warmups and is now expected to be available for Saturday's game against West Virginia, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.

After a long road back from a foot injury, Stokes is primed for a return in Saturday's contest. Stokes missed close to a month of action with the injury after starting the first 15 games of the season and averaging 13.1 points per game. It's unclear whether he'll be on a minutes restriction given the length of his absence, but that will likely be the case in some capacity.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) is expected to play in Saturday's game against West Virginia, Kellis Robinett of The Wichita Eagle reports.

Stokes will likely still end up being a game-time decision for Saturday's contest, but all signs are pointing to the veteran point guard being ready to go at West Virginia. Given his lengthy absence, Stokes is expected to be eased back into the rotation by head coach Bruce Weber, playing limited minutes in an effort to have him ready for the final stretch heading into postseason play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Bruce Weber said he's hopeful Stokes (foot) will play Saturday against West Virginia, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.

Weber added that Stokes' status will depend on how his ankle feels leading up to the game, so expect an update closer to tipoff. The point guard hasn't played since Jan. 6 due to a broken foot. His return -- whenever it comes -- will be welcomed by Kansas State, as the junior was leading the team in assists per game (4.6) while also providing 13.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals across 30.5 minutes per contest prior to injuring himself. When Stokes is ultimately cleared to play, the plan is to ease him back into action, starting him off with 10-12 minutes of playing time and working up from there.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) is approaching a return to the court, and no longer requires crutches or a boot to get around, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.

Stokes has been out for Kansas State's last five games with a broken foot, but is recovering quicker than originally expected. He's progressed out of his medical boot, and was seen helping the team warm up in their games against Baylor and TCU. The junior guard is expected to begin running within the next few days, and should be cleared to play within one to two weeks. Stokes was averaging 13.4 points, 4.6 assists and 2.6 rebound per game before breaking his foot.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) is expected to return "in a few weeks," Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.

Details of the injury hadn't been released until warmups of Kansas State's game at Kansas, but it appears now that Stokes will miss multiple weeks after suffering a broken bone in his foot against Texas Tech. This comes as a blow to the Wildcats, as Stokes had been their starting point guard and one of their best scorers before suffering the injury. Cartier Diarra has impressed in the two games since replacing Stokes (17.5 PPG), and Kansas State will be relying on him for heavy minutes while their usual starter recovers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Stokes (foot) is "out for an undetermined period of time" according to the Kansas State official site.

Stokes suffered the injury Saturday against Texas Tech, and just like in his freshman season when he missed the final 12 games, the junior is facing an extended absence. Although the exact details of the foot ailment haven't surfaced, the 6-0 guard and his 13.4 PPG average are unlikely to see the court next Wednesday against Oklahoma State. In his stead, sophomore guard Cartier Diarra is expected to enter the starting lineup, though it will be tough to replicate the exact production of Stokes. In addition to his scoring, Stokes sees approximately 84 percent of the reps at point guard (per KenPom), and is averaging 4.6 assists per contests (compared to just 1.9 turnovers). The 11-4 Wildcats were going to have a tough time making the NCAA Tournament following back-to-back Big 12 losses, and the news regarding Stokes will make that hill even tougher to climb.
