Headed for season-ending surgery
Yakwe will undergo season-ending foot surgery Friday, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
It was essentially a foregone conclusion that Yakwe wouldn't return to the floor in 2018-19, but any hopes of that can now be officially put to bed. Yakwe played in just 13 games for the Huskies this season, so there's a chance he could get a medical hardship waiver to return next season. If not, Yakwe will finish his only season with UConn having averaged 1.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest.
