Staying at Washington State
FWashington State
August 14, 2019
Cannon, who entered the transfer portal earlier in the offseason, recommitted to Washington State in June, Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
ANALYSIS
Cannon joined the Cougars as a JUCO transfer ahead of the 2018-19 season, appearing in 32 games (21 starts) and averaging 7.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21.5 minutes. He contemplated leaving the program in the spring when Kyle Smith took over for Ernie Kent as the program's coach, but Cannon ultimately elected to stick it out in Pullman after evaluating his options. The athletic swingman should again play a prominent role in the Cougars' rotation in his junior season.
