Lands at UT Martin
July 9, 2019
Kennedy enrolled at UT Martin ahead of the 2019-20 semester after joining the program as a transfer from UC Riverside, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Unless he receives a waiver from the NCAA granting him immediate availability, Kennedy, an incoming junior, is expected to sit out the 2019-20 campaign before debuting for the Skyhawks in 2020-21 with two years of eligibility left. Once he's officially cleared to play, Kennedy shouldn't have trouble capturing a rotation spot for a UT Martin program that has lost 30 games across the past two seasons. Kennedy appeared in 22 games (four starts) for UC Riverside in 2018-19, averaging 7.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers in 21.2 minutes per contest.
