The NCAA granted Menzies (hand) a hardship waiver, extending him a sixth season of eligibility in 2019-20, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports
After beginning his career at Seattle University, the 7-foot-3 center joined the Gaels as a graduate transfer last season. Menzies never ended up seeing the court during his redshirt senior campaign, however, as a hand injury that required surgery kept him on the sideline throughout the season. With the NCAA looking favorably on his case, Menzies should now get the chance to make his Saint Mary's debut as a sixth-year senior, adding major size to the frontcourt. During his final year at Seattle in 2017-18, Menzies averaged 11.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 26.9 minutes.
