McCoin originally signed a contract with the Roughriders on Feb. 20 after three seasons at Tennessee Tech, where the six-foot receiver caught 118 passes for 1,410 yards and seven touchdowns over 25 games. McCoin found himself near the bottom of the depth chart with Saskatchewan but will have a chance to find a bigger role with another team before the regular season starts.
