Stewart has elected to retire from professional football.

The 28-year-old had previously opened his career in the NFL after going undrafted out of Stanford in 2012, but hadn't appeared at the game's highest level since 2014. Stewart latched on with Hamilton in April and was expected to vie for a roster spot, but ultimately decided to call it quits.
