FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

GOALIE

Henrik Lundqvist, NYR vs. MON ($7,700): Believe it or not, Lundqvist has a .923 save percentage, and the Rangers have won three games in a row. The Canadiens are middle-of-the-road offensively, but they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back. That should increase Lundqvist's chances of getting a win, which goes a long way toward him having a good fantasy day.

CENTER

Ryan O'Reilly, STL vs. CAR ($6,300): O'Reilly has been as scorching as anybody in hockey, as he has 12 points in his last seven games. This includes seven power-play points, and he's averaged 3:42 per game with the extra man. The Hurricanes have a .881 save percentage as a team, and they also have the 28th-ranked penalty kill, both of which bode well for the former Sabre.

Nico Hischier, NJD at OTT ($6,200): The Devils are also on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, but who cares given this matchup? Ottawa has allowed a whopping 39.1 shots on goal per game, which has contributed to a league-high 4.21 GAA. Hischier is off to a hot start as well, as he has 10 points in 12 contests.

WING

Micheal Ferland, CAR at STL ($5,800): Ferland has stepped into a top-line role in his first year with the Hurricanes, and he's making the most of it. He has seven goals on the season, but he's put a whopping 54 shots on net through 14 games. His 13.0 shooting percentage is actually lower than it has been in his previous two seasons. If he keeps shooting like this it should pay off Tuesday, as the Blues have a 3.92 GAA.

Gustav Nyquist, DET vs. VAN ($5,800): Nyquist has been an effective playmaker this season, as he has 11 assists, including five in his last four games. This includes five assists on the power play as well. The Swede only has one goal, but his 3.2 shooting percentage is bound to improve. The Canucks have a 3.33 GAA, and an .896 save percentage, both of which are decidedly below average.

Yanni Gourde, TAM vs. EDM ($5,600): As a rookie, Gourde emerged with 25 goals and 64 points last season. He's building on that this year, as he has 14 points in 14 games. The 26-year-old is also seeing additional power-play time, as he's averaged 2:07 per game with the extra man. Edmonton is on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, and they will be starting Mikko Koskinen in net. He's played great in three games, but he's a 30-year-old who has been in the KHL for several years, and he hasn't played in the NHL since he was 22.

DEFENSE

Cam Fowler, ANA at LOS ($5,400): After posting a hat trick in his last game, Fowler has nine points on the season. He's also put 32 shots on goal while also blocking 39 shots. On top of that, he's notched double-digit power-play points in each of his last three seasons. The Kings have a 3.46 GAA, and Jack Campbell has a .912 save percentage as he's attempted to replace the injured Jonathan Quick.

Will Butcher, NJD at OTT ($3,800): Butcher was a power-play maven as a rookie, as 23 of his 44 points came with the extra man. This year, he has eight points, and seven of them have come on the power play. Of course, when you average 4:15 per game on the power play, you get a lot of opportunity. As previously noted, the Senators have a woeful 4.21 GAA. However, they also have the 29th-ranked penalty kill.
