At 31 years of age Frischmon is not a prospect and has played three NHL games in his professional career. It will be tough for him to crack Islanders' roster this season and he has spent just about all of the last four seasons in the AHL.
Frischmon will play this season in the AHL with Bridgeport and that's where he will remain unless the Islanders are desperate for a center. He is not a prospect and has little or no value other than depth in the AHL for the Isles' organization.
