Razafiarison defeated Sinead Kavanagh via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-25) at Bellator 173 on Friday in Belfast.
ANALYSIS
Razafiarison was sent to the canvas by a shot early in Round 1, but went to her wrestling game for the rest of the fight. The 32-year-old was able to put Kavanagh on her back at will with trips from the body lock, and while her ground game was mostly comprised of laying and praying, she was able to control her opponent for large chunks of time, leaving the judges with no choice but to award her the fight. Razafiarison picked up her first Bellator win in the contest, and now stands at 2-1 with one no-contest in her young MMA career.
