Nicholson lost to Jack Hermansson via TKO (punches) at 2:00 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Nicholson did not even get a chance to show anything in this fight. Hermansson took him down almost immediately. From there, the Swedish fighter moved to the back and finished the bout with strikes. With the loss, Nicholson has now lost three of his last four in the UFC. His only victory in the Octagon came over Devin Clark at UFC Fight Night 91.

Still looking for first UFC win after loss to Sam Alvey
Light HeavyweightPFL
November 5, 2016
Nicholson lost to Sam Alvey via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Nicholson was far more competitive than he was in his UFC debut against Misha Cirkunov in February, but it still wasn't enough. Nicholson started quickly, but he faded over the final ten minutes and that is a particular bad sign in a fight against a below-average athlete like Alvey. Nicholson seems a bit more likely to get a third opportunity with the company than some of the fighters who fought before him on Saturday, but there's nothing to see here.

Nicholson lost to Misha Cirkunov via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:28 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Nicholson never had a prayer in his UFC debut. He was on the defensive from the opening bell and although he was able to make it into Round 2, he got off virtually no offense throughout the entire bout. Cirkunov is an absolute animal, so it's a bit hard to get on Nicholson for the dreadful performance. He should fare better in his second UFC bout against a lesser opponent.
