Abanda was unable to play the qualifying tournament in Guadalajara due to a right shoulder injury.

ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old Canadian spends most of her time on the ITF circuit and certainly will be disappointed with this untimely injury since it would have been a rare opportunity for her to play at the WTA level with most players still preoccupied in Indian Wells currently. Abanda is already having trouble staying inside the top 200, and this injury should only make things worse.
