PITCHER
Jerad Eickhoff, PHI vs. ARI ($7,500): Eickhoff is quietly having a tremendous season at home, allowing a measly .264 wOBA to opposing batters en route to a 2.12 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 46.2 innings over seven starts. He shouldn't have much trouble turning in another stellar Citizens Bank Park performance against an Arizona team that ranks in the middle of the pack offensively despite playing its home games at the hitter-friendly Chase Field. The Diamondbacks also strike out more than all but six teams in baseball, while Eickhoff comes into this outing 2-0 with just one run allowed and 13 strikeouts over his last two appearances.
CATCHER
Stephen Vogt, OAK vs. LAA ($2,900): The once-mighty Tim Lincecum is far removed from his Cy Young-winning days, and could be vulnerable in his Angels debut after failing to pick up a victory in three tries with their Triple-A affiliate. While Vogt is having a bit of a down year so far, he mashed right-handed pitching with a .353 wOBA in 2015 and is still batting in the heart of the A's order. Clearly the Oakland coaching staff believes he's due to start trending up and this matchup offers a nice opportunity to start doing so at an owner-friendly price.
FIRST BASE
David Ortiz, BOS vs. SEA ($4,200): Boston's prolific offense is likely to have a field day at home against debuting Mariners rookie Adrian Sampson and their leading run-producer should be a major factor given his proficiency against right-handers and current momentum. Ortiz has posted a monstrous .495 wOBA against RHP this season and that number has been trending upwards thanks to home runs in each of his last two games. All things considered, it's amazing that Big Papi isn't even the most expensive option at first base.
SECOND BASE
Jason Kipnis, CLE vs. CWS ($3,500): Kipnis is enjoying another strong campaign against right-handed pitching, posting a .346 wOBA while batting second in the order. Meanwhile James Shields has been an unmitigated disaster since coming over to the White Sox, totaling just seven innings pitched and 14 runs allowed in two starts with his new team. Even if Shields improves this time around, he's unlikely to go unscathed against Kipnis, a two-time All Star.
THIRD BASE
Travis Shaw, BOS vs. SEA ($2,800): While he's no David Ortiz, Shaw will also get to face 2012 fifth-rounder Sampson in his MLB debut at two-thirds of the price. The less-heralded Boston corner infielder has a very respectable .369 wOBA against right-handed pitching and should get plenty of opportunities for meaningful production thanks to the talent hitting around him up and down the lineup.
SHORTSTOP
Trevor Story, COL at MIA ($3,000): Some will be quick to write off Story as nothing more than another product of Coors Field, but that's far from the truth. The rookie has hit 10 of his 17 homers and picked up 26 of his 45 RBI on the road even though he has just three more games played away from home. He costs just $3,000 after undergoing the massive price drop Rockies players always suffer in away games and that's a massive bargain for a shortstop with his incredible raw power. A matchup against the struggling Wei-Yin Chen is just icing on the cake.
OUTFIELD
George Springer, HOU vs. CIN ($3,800): Despite some general early-season struggles Springer has an impressive .414 wOBA against left-handed pitching. That number should only continue to climb now that the 2011 first round pick has found his game in the leadoff role, and debuting Reds southpaw Cody Reed is an unlikely candidate to slow down the five-tool outfielder. Factor in that this game will be played at Minute Maid Park where Springer has .410 overall wOBA and he makes for an easy selection in this situation.
Lorenzo Cain, KC vs. DET ($3,600): Cain is once again earning his reputation as a lefty killer in 2016, posting a ridiculous .460 wOBA against them after topping the .400 mark in 2015. Those who play him against Tigers starter Matt Boyd should be in for a treat as Boyd has given up a .368 wOBA to right-handed bats over his brief career and is reeling after allowing six runs in just 4.1 innings last time out.
Michael Conforto, NYM vs. ATL ($3,200): Conforto put any worries about his wrist injury to bed by homering in his return to the lineup Thursday, so all signs point to the young slugger returning to his righty-mashing ways. He has a strong .376 wOBA in that split this season and has a great chance to improve that mark against struggling rookie Aaron Blair. Blair's ugly 7.59 ERA is due in part to an astronomical .409 wOBA allowed to left-handed bats. Most of those aren't nearly as proficient as Conforto, so it would be shocking if he didn't deliver in this ideal matchup.
