Pitcher
Jameson Taillon, PIT vs. PHI ($6,800): Taillon has been a bit inconsistent, which can be expected from a rookie through his first six big league starts. He's allowed three or four runs in three appearances, but one or none in the other three including each of his last two. He's gone at least six innings in four starts, and could work at least that long against a mediocre Phillies lineup that posts just a .689 OPS and .296 wOBP against right-handers while striking out at a 21.4 percent clip against them. The Phillies could also be without third base slugger Mikel Franco due to a wrist injury. There's very little risk at this price with Taillon, and with two 45+ point outings in five starts the savings allows for plenty of splurging offensively.
Catcher
Jett Bandy, LAA at HOU ($2,500): Bandy has hit safely in eight of his last 10 appearances, amassing 10 hits total in that span. His price isn't bargain basement, so you need at least one knock to justify the spending, but that should come against Sunday starter Mike Fiers who is allowing righties to hit .288 with a .367 wOBP against over 51 innings.
First Base
Joey Votto, CIN vs. ARI ($4,000): At this price there's very little value, and the tag comes as an eye opener for a player who hovered near the bottom tier price just a month ago. But Votto is raking right now, riding an eight game hit streak that has seen him collect 14 hits including three home runs, raising his average nearly 20 points. He owns a .398 wOBP and .942 OPS against right-handers on the year, and faces a struggling pitcher in Zack Godley and his 5.31 ERA.
Second Base
Jurickson Profar, TEX at KAN ($2,400): Profar seems assured of a daily role with Prince Fielder being injured and hit leadoff Saturday. His price is down as he's only provided 15.2 fantasy points over his last six appearances prior to Saturday, but he's still a player with a .390 wOBP against right-handers heading into a matchup against Edinson Volquez.
Third Base
Jose Reyes, NYM at MIA ($2,500): Reyes' price doesn't seem to be commanding respect. Yes, he's hitting only .246 since returning to action, but he's managed to post five double-digit fantasy point outings in his last 10 games while never going below three points. He's hit safely in 10 of 14 games and eight of his 14 hits have gone for extra bases. The Mets face Jose Urena on Sunday, who was solid in 5.2 innings in his last outing but has still allowed eight runs over his last 7.2 innings.
Shortstop
J.J. Hardy, CLE at BAL ($2,100): Hardy has two hits in each of his last four games. Unfortunately they've all gone for singles, giving him minimal, at best, upside Sunday. But he's gone 4-for-8 in his career against starter Corey Kluber and, when paired with the minimal price, Hardy looks like he can be more helpful than harmful.
Outfield
Tyler Naquin, CLE at BAL ($3,400): At writing time, Naquin was 0-for-3 with three whiffs Saturday. That alone makes him a nice bounce back option Sunday, as he'd hit safely in his eight of his last 10 games with five home runs. Mix in his .439 wOBP and 1.054 OPS against righties and pair it with projected starter Vance Worley's .357 wOBP allowed to lefties at home and 1.04 HR/9, and Naquin has a chance to post his sixth double-digit point outing in his last 11 games.
Chris Owings, ARI at CIN ($2,800): Owings returned from the disabled list with a bang Saturday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI and stolen base while hitting in the five hole. He brings a .382 wOBP against lefties into a contest that figures to see plenty of runs scored with an early 9.5 total showing.
Marcell Ozuna, MIA vs. NYM ($2,500): Ozuna's breakout season is slowing down rapidly, as he's hitting just .238 with one home run in July. But he's still an All-Star player who is batting .299 overall with 17 homers and 52 RBI. His price is bottoming out but he still brings a high ceiling and relatively high floor into Sunday's matchup with lefty Steven Matz. Ozuna has a wOBP of .463 against lefties while launching eight homers in 82 at-bats against southpaws.
