PITCHER
Michael Fulmer, DET at KC ($9,600): The Royals have a troubled track record against right-handed pitching this season, with an AL-worst .300 wOBA and 20.3 percent strikeout rate. While he's struggled over his last two starts, Fulmer has flashed a ceiling of nearly 45 fantasy points this season, and he has fared well against this same Royals squad on two prior occasions, averaging 17.6 fantasy points over 13.2 innings. He's also been better on the road this season, posting an 8-3 record, 2.56 ERA and .219 batting average against.
Marco Estrada, TOR at TB ($8,600): Estrada has enjoyed a solid campaign and bounced back from a couple of hiccups with 22.2 fantasy points against the Orioles last Monday. The veteran righty now draws a Rays squad that's struck out at a 23.7 percent rate against right-handed pitching and sports an anemic .307 wOBA and bloated 25.1 percent strikeout rate at home this season. Estrada has also been a slightly better road pitcher this year, with a 5-1 record, 1.01 WHIP, .193 batting average against and an average of 18.2 fantasy points over 11 starts.
CATCHER
Gary Sanchez, NYY at BAL ($4,600): Sanchez has been the talk of baseball due to the incredible start to his season, and he now draws a matchup that could be ripe for more production. Orioles starter Kevin Gausman has surrendered a .361 wOBA, 16 homers and a 1.97 HR/9 against righty bats, along with a 21.4 percent HR/FB rate when facing them at Camden Yards. Sanchez boasts a jaw-dropping .570 wOBA, .481 ISO and 45.5 percent HR/FB rate against righty arms, along with a 53.1 percent hard contact rate when facing that handedness away from Yankee Stadium.
FIRST BASE
Xavier Scruggs, MIA at CLE ($2,600) Scruggs is a cost-effective value play for tournaments given his sub-$3K price and .353 wOBA against right-handed pitching. He also has a pair of double-digit fantasy point outings over his last five games. Meanwhile, Indians starter Trevor Bauer has been fairly solid this season, but he has given up 10 homers and a 33.5 percent hard contact rate at home this season. With such minimal risk price-wise, Scruggs provides solid flexibility elsewhere on a roster.
SECOND BASE
Brian Dozier, MIN vs. CWS ($5,100): Dozier may well be the best Twins bat to deploy against the rapidly fading James Shields, who's given up a .391 wOBA, 20 homers, 2.29 HR/9, 5.14 xFIP and 39.9 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters this season. Shields also endured an atrocious August, with an 11.42 ERA, .511 wOBA and 6.40 xFIP over six starts. Dozier has been outstanding in the second half of the season and has a .355 wOBA and .246 ISO against right-handed pitching, along with a .438 wOBA, .413 ISO, 13 homers and 27 RBI over the 29 games he played in August.
THIRD BASE
Martin Prado, MIA at CLE ($3,400): Prado has been an outstanding cash game play this season, yet he remains reasonably priced relative to his potential. Trevor Bauer has shown some vulnerability at home this season, while Prado has hit six of his seven homers on the campaign against right-handed pitching, along with a .303 batting average against that handedness outside of Marlins Park.
SHORTSTOP
Carlos Correa, HOU at TEX ($4,200): Correa faces Rangers southpaw Derek Holland, who's given up a .330 wOBA, nine homers and an 5.49 xFIP to right-handed hitters this season. The Astros shortstop has a .377 wOBA, 21.4 percent HR/FB rate and whopping 47.9 percent hard contact rate against lefties on the road, and he's already hit a couple of homers against Holland during his career.
OUTFIELD
Alex Dickerson, SD at LAD ($3,000): Dickerson is a cost-effective way to exploit Dodgers starter Bud Norris' struggles against left-handed bats, which include a .389 wOBA and 5.03 xFIP. Dickerson boasts a .334 wOBA, .227 ISO and 31.9 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching, while providing some long-ball upside at a very reasonable price.
George Springer, HOU at TEX ($4,800): Springer is another dangerous lefty masher who could give Rangers starter Derek Holland fits, considering he has a .414 wOBA against southpaws that shoots up to .457 (along with a whopping .369 ISO) when facing them away from Minute Maid Park. He also boasts a 40.7 percent hard contact rate against that handedness on the road, along with a 33.3 percent HR/FB rate.
A.J. Pollock, ARI at COL ($4,000): Pollock has played very well after finally making his season debut, with hits in four straight and four stolen bases over that span. He draws a solid matchup at Coors Field against Rockies righty Tyler Chatwood, who's given up a .377 wOBA to right-handed hitters at home, along with a 35.4 percent hard contact rate. Pollock has already tallied a .360 wOBA against right-handed pitching over a very small sample this season, a number which is nevertheless validated by the .369 figure he had last year over 527 plate appearances. Pollock brings valued multi-category upside at a reasonable price and has the added benefit of playing in an outstanding hitter's environment.
