FanDuel MLB: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel MLB series.

PITCHER

Sean Manaea, OAK at LAA ($6,800): Manaea has hit his stride over his last several starts, scoring 22 to 54 fantasy points in his last four trips to the mound. The Angels have also generated a below-average .300 wOBA the last seven days, while Manaea has a fired 11 innings of scoreless ball in his last two starts, with a .162 average against and .183 wOBA allowed over that span.

Catcher

Yadier Molina, STL vs. CIN ($2,900):  Molina's recent torrid streak at the plate makes his bargain price particularly eye-opening. Following a 2-for-4 night Sunday, he's now batting .375 average with a .406 wOBA over his last 20 games. He also sports a .333 wOBA overall against right-handed pitching, while Reds starter Tim Adleman has yielded a .380 wOBA, 2.00 HR/9 and 5.44 xFIP to righty bats on the road.

First Base

Yonder Alonso, OAK at LAA ($2,500) Alonso has enjoyed plenty of success against right-handed pitching on the road, with a .355 wOBA and 32.6 percent hard-contact rate. He's also posted a .316 average and .357 wOBA over his last 19 games, while Angels starter Jered Weaver has yielded a .374 wOBA to left-handed hitters that rises to .387 when facing southpaws at Angel Stadium.

Second Base

Ben Zobrist, CHC at PIT ($3,000): Zobrist has gone 8-for-13 over his last four games, with a double, five RBI and 18.4 to 21.9 fantasy points. The switch hitter is also in a good position to take advantage of Pirates starter Chad Kuhl's vulnerability to left-handed hitters, who've tagged him for a .347 wOBA overall and a .436 wOBA, 6.85 xFIP and 43.8 percent hard-contact rate at PNC Park. Zobrist has a .351 wOBA and 11 of his 15 homers against right-handed pitching and a .369 wOBA and 35.4 percent hard-contact rate when facing them away from Wrigley.

Third Base

Adrian Beltre, TEX vs. MIL ($3,400): Beltre has a .384 wOBA at Globe Life Park, along with a .357 wOBA, .207 ISO and 23 homers against right-handed pitching this season. He's been on fire over the last three weeks as well, with a .358 average, .309 ISO, seven homers and a .451 wOBA over his last 21 games. Meanwhile, Matt Garza brings a 5.54 ERA into Monday's matchup and has also allowed a .360 wOBA on the road this season, and a .368 wOBA over his last three starts.

Shortstop

Elvis Andrus, TEX vs. MIL ($2,800): Andrus is another formidable right-handed bat to trot out against Matt Garza while saving some cash, and a red-hot one at that. He's tallied double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, topping out 44.4 Saturday on the strength of a two-homer, four-RBI performance versus the A's. He also sports a .343 wOBA against right-handed pitching at home, and a .333 average, four homers, .333 ISO, .450 wOBA and 38.6 percent hard-contact rate over his last 19 games.

Outfield

Khris Davis, OAK at LAA ($3,500): Davis takes a crack at Angels starter Jered Weaver, who's given up a whopping 37 homers on the season. He's yielded 22 of those to right-handed hitters and 20 overall at home. Weaver's mid-80s fastball is an enormous liability against mashers like Davis, who's hit 40 homers against right-handed pitching, along with a 29.3 percent HR/FB rate and 40.3 percent hard-contact rate when facing that handers on the road.

Cameron Maybin, DET vs. CLE ($3,400): After a 4-for-6 performance Sunday that included a triple and four runs, Maybin now has double-digit fantasy points in six straight games with a .319 average, .368 wOBA and 35.7 percent hard-contact rate over his last 18 games. He's also enjoyed his greatest success against righties in what has been a breakout season, with a .341 average and .365 wOBA, and a .419 average and .439 wOBA when facing righties at Comerica Park. While Indians starter Corey Kluber is a formidable opponent for any hitter, Maybin is up to the challenge.

Randal Grichuk, STL vs. CIN ($3,200): Grichuk has crushed right-handed pitching at Busch Stadium, with a .374 wOBA, .287 ISO, 24.3 percent HR/FB rate and 48.4 percent hard-contact rate. Tim Adleman's troubles against right-handed hitters on the road were discussed earlier, making him a particularly inviting target.
