Yahoo DFS Baseball: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Baseball series.

PITCHER

Corey Kluber, CLE at CHW ($61): Kluber has had at least 10 strikeouts in eight of his 10 starts since June 1, and he's allowed at least three runs just twice in that span. The reason to pay up for Kluber is the matchup against the White Sox, who have the third-lowest wOBA against righties this season.

Rich Hill, LAD vs. SF ($51): There aren't any good cheap options on this slate, so I'll be paying up for Hill, who has struck out at least eight batters in five of his last six starts. The matchup against the Giants is pretty good as well, as the Giants enter with the fifth-lowest wOBA against lefties this season.

CATCHER

J.T. Realmuto, MIA vs. CIN ($18): Realmuto has been quite the revelation for the Marlins this season, and though he's done most of his damage against lefties, he comes in with a .343 wOBA against righties. Meanwhile, opposing starter Tim Adleman has been one of the more reliably bad starters in the majors this season, coming in with a 5.11 ERA. The Marlins make for one of the better stacks on this slate.

FIRST BASE

Trey Mancini, BAL at TEX ($12): There aren't many quality options at first base that come as cheap as Mancini, who is averaging as many points per game as the like of Josh Bell and Hanley Ramirez but at a much lower cost. His matchup against Austin Bibens-Dirkx is another reason to take a look at Mancini, as he has a .402 wOBA against righties this season, which leads the O's. Meanwhile, Bibens-Dirkx has surrendered eight runs in his past nine innings.

SECOND BASE

Jose Altuve, HOU at DET ($27): Nobody is hotter in the league right now than Altuve, who has a .428 wOBA against lefties this season, and with a lefty on the mound, he's almost a must-have. Daniel Norris takes the mound for the Tigers and one thing is likely whenever Norris takes the mound: multiple runs will be scored. Norris rarely gets hammered, but he usually gives up multiple runs, so he's not a great pitcher to stack against, but you can pick your spots.

THIRD BASE

Todd Frazier, NYY vs. TB ($17): It makes perfect sense that the Yankees added Frazier because outside of Aaron Judge and the injured Aaron Hicks, they don't have many bats that hit lefties well. Frazier comes in with a .363 wOBA against lefties this season, while Blake Snell and his 4.86 ERA takes the hill for the Rays.

SHORTSTOP

Zack Cozart, CIN at MIA ($19): With any luck, Cozart will be back for this game as he has a great matchup against Adam Conley. Conley pitched a gem his last time out, but even with seven scoreless innings, his ERA only dropped to 5.62. Cozart has been out the past few games due to a thigh issue, but it looks like he could be ready for this game. If he's a go, then he's a great play as he enters with a .477 wOBA against lefties this season.

OUTFIELD

Michael Conforto, NYM at SEA ($22):Yovani Gallardo takes the mound for the Mariners and it's painfully obvious that he's not cut out to be a starter anymore. Gallardo struggled as a starter early in the season, but appeared to get back on track out of the bullpen only to fall back into his old ways once returning to the rotation. Conforto has been one of the top bats in the Mets' lineup all season, posting a .423 wOBA against righties this season.

Enrique Hernandez, LAD vs SF ($9):Ty Blach has rotated good and bad starts over his past four, and though he's seemingly due for a good start after surrendering five runs in his most recent outing, he's going to have a tough time getting back on track against LA. The Dodgers as a team are better against righties, but they have a group of hitters who are great against lefties and Hernandez is part of that group, posting a .424 wOBA against them this year.

Mike Trout, LAA at TOR ($28): Trout has played fairly well since returning from the DL, but he's yet to have a monster game; but that could change after a meeting with Francisco Liriano, who has a 5.99 ERA. Meanwhile, Trout enters with a .399 wOBA against lefties this season.
