Pacers Hold On At Home
The Indiana Pacers defeated the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 111-99, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start, as the Mavs led for most of the first quarter, before the Pacers pulled ahead by one, to take a 24-23 lead into the second quarter. The Pacers carried the momentum and outscored the visitors by 15 in the second, to take a 58-42 lead into halftime. Things tightened up again in the third, but the Mavs could not do much, as they only cut into the deficit by one point, entering the final frame down by 15. The Mavericks kept chipping away through the fourth and cut the lead to single digits, however the Pacers were able to hold their position and walk away with the home win.

Tyreke Evans led the Pacers with 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, and two assists, in 25 minutes off the bench. Domantas Sabonis followed up with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two assists, in 27 minutes off the bench, while Darren Collison tallied 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block.

Meanwhile, Harrison Barnes led the Mavericks with 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting, three rebounds and two assists, in 32 minutes. DeAndre Jordan followed up with 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Wesley Matthews tallied 17 points, three rebounds and two assists. Luka Doncic finished with eight points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals.

The Mavs (20-25) will look to avoid a fourth straight loss as they take on the Bucks in Milwaukee on Monday. The Pacers (30-15) play host to the Hornets on Sunday.
