Nuggets Hand Timberwolves Sixth Straight Loss
The Denver Nuggets defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 107-100, at Target Center on Monday evening.

Michael Porter Jr. led the Nuggets with 20 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and a block, in 30 minutes. The contest got out to a competitive start, with the Timberwolves holding a three-point lead after one quarter. The Timberwolves led for most of the second, but the Nuggets pulled ahead late in the quarter, to take a one-point lead into halftime. The score stayed close through through the third quarter, and the Nuggets took a two-point lead into the final frame. They pushed their lead to 10, mid way through the fourth and held the lead the rest of the way, to earn the road win. This marks the sixth straight loss for the Timberwolves.

Nikola Jokic added 17 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and a steal, while Jerami Grant finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. The Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field, including 11-of-31 from long range.

Meanwhile, Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block, in 35 minutes. Josh Okogie tallied 16 points, eight rebounds and a steal, while Andrew Wiggins finished with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block. The Timberwolves shot 42 percent from the field, including 13-of-42 from deep.

The Timberwolves (15-28) will look to bounce back as they take on the Bulls in Chicago on Wednesday. The Nuggets (30-13) take on the Rockets in Denver on Wednesday.
