White and the Cyclone rushing attack couldn't get anything going against Iowa's defense and facing a deficit, the team had to abandon the run in a desperate comeback attempt. White should see more touches moving forward.

White was Iowa State's most effective runner in 2012, going for 505 yards (5.1 YPC) and two touchdowns on 99 carries while catching 20 passes for 137 yards. White rarely got a big workload, however, due to the presence of fellow running back Shontrelle Johnson. Jeff Woody, who is much more of a power back, will also help shoulder the workload, particularly around the red zone.
White put together a solid sophomore season, posting 743 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He finished the year as his team's leading rusher, and 2012 could be more of the same. Still, White's fantasy value is a bit limited. Iowa State is a run-heavy team – the Cyclones averaged 41.3 rushing attempts per game in 2011 – but Jared Barnett and Jeff Woody steal a big number of carries.
White is a good recruit for Iowa State who's expected to be in a reserve role this year. He's probably not worth consideration in any format until he does something.
