CFB Waiver Wire: Players to Pick Up Week 12
November 14, 2016
Nick Grays does what he does best, scouring the nation for his top waiver-wire picks heading into the second last week of the season.
Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2013
Mabon is quietly one of the nation's most accomplished receivers, as he has 159 career receptions for 1,890 yards and nine touchdowns to his name heading into his final season. With previous No. 1 Ball State wideout Jordan Williams graduated, Mabon is in position for a career year. Mabon caught 70 passes last year while Williams caught 72, meaning a push for triple-digit receptions probably can't be entirely ruled out for Mabon. He averaged only 10.6 yards per catch last year, however, and only scored two times, so his primary appeal might be in PPR formats.
Mabon showed more upside than Connor Ryan last year, so Mabon is a good bet to emerge as the team's third receiver behind Willie Snead and Jamill Smith. Unfortunately, even that distinction is unlikely to yield much fantasy utility.
