September 15, 2019
Eason completed 18 of 25 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns against Hawaii on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Eason bounced back from a disappointing showing against Cal to throw for three touchdowns in a dominant performance against an over matched Hawaii squad. 2016 Fantasy Outlook
Eason enrolled at Georgia in January with expectations of him becoming the next Matt Stafford. After last season’s shoddy quarterback play from Greyson Lambert/Brice Ramsey/Faton Bauta, the clamoring for a shiny new quarterback isn’t surprising. The noise surrounding Eason only got louder after his impressive showing in the spring game that made him look like he was already the best quarterback on campus. Once Eason steps in, expectations should be tempered given that he’ll be going against fierce SEC defenses as a true freshman.
