Begins season on bench
WRHawaii
August 20, 2019
Stovall is not listed as a starting receiver on Hawaii's initial depth chart for Saturday's game against Arizona, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports. He is listed as the team's starting kick and punt returner.
ANALYSIS
Stovall, a transfer from California, was competing with Jason-Matthew Sharsh for the starting left slotback role. He'll begin the season off the bench, but the competition was thought to be close in training camp. There's plenty of targets to be had in Hawaii's run-and-shoot offense, so Stovall could still emerge with a significant role and will contribute in the return game.
