Mason Fine
QuarterbackQB
North Texas Eagles
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Fine took a big step forward in 2017, playing in his first full season under center. He passed for 4,052 yards along with 31 touchdowns and a 63.4 percent completion percentage. Fine has the starting job locked down for the upcoming season, and he'll also have his top weapons, Michael Lawrence and Jalen Guyton returning at wideout. Fine figures to see plenty of opportunities to make plays, as a part of an offensive unit that averaged 297 passing yards and 38 passing attempts per game in 2017. Read Past Outlooks
Practicing in spring
QBNorth Texas
March 28, 2019
Fine (lower leg) is participating in team drills during spring practice and tossed a touchdown to Rico Bussey on Monday, Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Fine appears to be in fine shape after he was knocked out of the New Mexico Bowl with a hamstring strain. Barring an injury of some kind, Fine should lead the Mean Green offense again in 2019, coming off a junior campaign in which he threw for 3,793 yards and posted a 27:5 TD:INT ratio over 13 games. With top target Rico Bussey back in the fold, Fine should have another big season on tap.
