Karan Higdon
Running BackRB
Michigan Wolverines
2018 Fantasy Outlook
In a backfield filled with a number of potential workhorse backs, it was Higdon who ultimately proved to be the best of the bunch. The junior tailback ran 164 times for 994 yards, adding 11 touchdowns to what equates to 6.06 yards per carry. Ty Isaac graduated following the campaign, leaving Higdon and Chris Evans to share Michigan's workload in 2018. Some unreliable play under center led the Wolverines to a run-heavy approach last season, but the offseason transfer of Shea Patterson to Ann Arbor may balance the offensive scales slightly this season. Even so, improved success on offensive drives could result in similar numbers for Higdon in his final year on campus. Read Past Outlooks
Will not play in bowl game
Not Injury Related
December 20, 2018
Higdon has elected to sit out the Peach Bowl against Florida on Dec. 29 in order to continue preparing for the 2019 NFL Draft, Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Higdon was the first Michigan running back to rush for over 1,000 yards since 2011, finishing the season with 1,178 yards and 10 touchdowns. Instead of playing in his final collegiate contest, he will join fellow Wolverines Devin Bush and Rashan Gary in skipping the bowl game, though Higdon is still planning on participating in January's Senior Bowl. In his absence, look for Chris Evans and Tru Wilson to get more playing time against the Gators.
