FCS Abilene Christian announced Tuesday that Smith signed with the program as a transfer from Texas State.
ANALYSIS
Smith began his career at Texas State in 2017 as a running back before he converted to linebacker following the 2019 season. He struggled to find playing time on defense, however, finishing the 2020 campaign with only one tackle. A redshirt junior this past fall, Smith will take two years of eligibility with him to Abilene Christian.
